Ageing gracefully

Unlacquered brass is a timeless material that adds warmth and character to any space. Its natural patina over time creates a unique and beautiful look that cannot be replicated. In our first journal entry, we explore the versatility of unlacquered brass, provide tips on how to care for it, and showcase its stunning transformation after a year of use. This is a material that only gets better with age and is a firm favourite in the Studio Cleary design palette.

Mixing metals

When I was a little girl, I was obsessed with my aunt’s Russian wedding ring, an intertwined trio of white, yellow and rose gold bands. Whilst this trinity of precious metals has religious symbolism, it is a great (and historic) example of successfully mixing finishes which can inform interior design choices today.
